In the absence of the human presence, Eklund's works give a feeling of calm and stability.

Like a window, Eklund's paintings on glass provide an insight into a world beyond reality, where geometric shapes and machine-like objects are visible in clear colors with sharp contours. Clear associations can be drawn to Marcel Duchamp's "The big glass", which meant that glass was a directionless medium that has no front or back, bottom or top.
